Increasing portfolio manager effectiveness for TAL Private Asset Management by integrating a client self-service solution.

Background

TAL Private Management is a portfolio management firm that offers international investments and distribution of financial products.

With offices in Canada, Europe and Asia, TAL offers private portfolio management, marketing and client servicing for high net worth individuals, endowment funds and non-profit organizations.

The Challenge

TAL clients wanted access to more research and portfolio information than existing offline channels provided. Portfolio managers needed a method of exchanging information with clients and creating a self-service method of access that would allow them to focus more effort on funds management and trading.

By introducing a digital distribution and access application, TAL could strengthen customer loyalty by offering self-service access while allowing portfolio managers to focus more on analysis and trading.

The Solution

To build customer loyalty and increase portfolio manager effectiveness, Cyberplex integrated a solution that:

  • Allowed clients to access portfolio valuations, research, analysis and contact with portfolio managers.
  • Decreased portfolio manager time spent exchanging information and increased effectiveness of analysis teams.
  • Introduced higher switching costs and value-added information by creating a high-touch method of exchanging relevant and new information with clients.
